About that lake, Lake Garfield and particularly this portion of it, the northwest quadrant of the lake is a shelf 4 ft. below the surface--it is the most swimmable part of the lake because the swimmer can "touch down" anywhere along its nearly half mile expanse. This rare, 110 feet of waterfront is level and usable space, where most of the lake it rocky and steep. And the location is far enough away from the town beach and boat launch to be quiet and serene, but close enough that a short paddle or drive and you can be in the hub-bub easily. The boat house is another bonus. This spacious shelter could never be built on the water like this with current building restrictions. But with this already existing structure you have a place to store all of your boats and equipment and/or have a place to change and relax after a day on the water. In the house the layout can be accommodate a number of situations. If the house is holding just two people they can easily spend all their time on the main level because of the lovely first floor master bedroom. But if hosting a large group, you can fill the four second floor bedrooms and still have plenty of space on the main level for entertaining, including the huge, wrap-around screened porch.
