Why it matters

Maybe more than any other industry, real estate can have a crucial role in issues related to housing and vibrant community life. Realtors are advocates, volunteers, ethicists; working for property rights, fair housing, and economic development.

community sharing cooking duty

Breaking Bread Kitchen

Coming together to break bread and share a meal is a powerful way to build community. At the American Legion Hall in Sheffield, community groups take turns sponsoring this event. Every 6 weeks, realtors from different agencies join forces to sponsor a dinner. Fairground Real Estate coordinates volunteers, plans the menu, and invites everyone to be a part of this inspiring community effort!

Town monitor

Town Monitors

Town Monitors are the key players that connect the Berkshire Board of REALTORS to the communities we serve. A Town Monitor can raise any issue related to real estate and private property rights affecting the community. The board will take this information, research it, learn about potential impact, strategist our reaction, share information and mobilize our members. Fairground Real Estate has four sales associates currently serving as town monitors in Berkshire County.
